IHG has announced its 4th Quarter promotion and, well, it’s nowhere near as good as Hyatt’s current Triple promotion, though better than the current Marriott Bonvoy promo.

Double IHG Rewards points October 1 – December 15th

Then, you’ll get double points on any stays between Oct 1 and Dec 15th, 2020. Sadly, Christmas and New Years stays won’t be doubled since they are after this promotion ends.
Extra Bonus for Credit Card Holders
If you have and use for the stay a IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card or IHG Rewards Club Traveler Credit Card (or a legacy version), you’ll get a bonus of 10,000 IHG Rewards points on your first stay during the promo period.
I value IHG points at about half a cent each, so the card bonus is worth roughly $50. That’s not bad for one stay. The stay needs to be a qualifying rate of $30 or more. Potentially, you could come out ahead on one really inexpensive stay…
