Last year, Delta had just made some pretty extreme mistakes with regards to overhauling the Medallion program (later walking back *some* of them, but also hinting they’d be un-walked-back later on).
JetBlue seized on that with a status match program in September that I took part in, matching myself from Delta Platinum to Mosaic 3.
That program was only for Delta elites and you could be matched as high as Mosaic 4, top tier, if you were a Delta Diamond Medallion.
For that match, you could acquire between 6 and 30 tiles by the end of the year to keep your status for 2024 – OR – simply have or acquire a JetBlue credit card. I went the route of the credit card as it is much easier to open a credit card with a nice bonus than to earn 24 tiles (that was the requirement on Mosaic 3).
This year is much different. Let’s take a look.

Eligible Statuses to Match
You can be matched only as high as Mosaic 2 with the match, good for 3 months. During that time, you can earn your way as high as Mosaic 3 (so top tier isn’t on. the table).
You can only match from Alaska, America, Delta, or United. And you can’t have matched to JetBlue within the last 24 months.
Here’s what matches to what for the 3 month trial.
How to Keep Status Jetblue Mosaic Status Through 2025
After that, you’ll need to earn some tiles. There’s no waiver to simply have or open a credit card – although credit card spend does count!
Here is how you can keep or even upgrade that trial status:
- 10 tiles to keep Mosaic 1
- 25 tiles to keep Mosaic 2
- 40 tiles to earn Mosaic 3
How to Earn Tiles
- You earn 1 tile per $100 spent on JetBlue flights (including many extras & fees), JetBlue Vacations packages, and Paisly by JetBlue (cars, stays & more).
- You earn 1 tile per $1,000 spent on a credit card (spend must fully post within the 3 months)
- And technically you can even BUY tiles, although it’s $107 for one tile and a crazy $5,318 for 40 tiles.
Any combination of those three activities works and no other way of attaining tiles works. Pretty simple.
However, let’s say you flew $3,000 worth of flights, you could opt to spend $1,066 on tiles (10 more) to get to 40 tiles and Mosaic 3. Mosaic 3 is a huge jump from Mosaic 2 because it comes with 4 “Move to Mint” certificates.
Note that Move to Mint is a pretty chaotic system where any route can be 1, 2, 3, or 4 certificates although thankfully, just a few weeks ago, JetBlue made it possible to see in advance of booking how many Move to Mint are needed.
Yes, all this year until late July you needed to first book the flight, then see how many certificates were needed, then cancel it if it was too many and try again.
How to Submit Your Match
To start, you’ll need to head to this page at JetBlue.
Apply by submitting:
- A screenshot of your frequent flyer program profile showing your full name and proof of status
- A screenshot or photo of your most recent boarding pass or flight confirmation email showing your status, if you’re matching to Mosaic 2
- You must have an existing TrueBlue account in order to get a status match. (Join first if you aren’t a member)
- Allow up to 4 weeks for processing.
- You’ll be notified by email and once approved, you’ll receive Mosaic 1 or 2 status for 3 months.
There is a button on the linked page that says “Apply Now” and that’s where you, well, apply 🙂
