I don’t think you saw that coming….
Miles & More, the European frequent flyer program used by Lufthansa as well as SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, ITA Airways, Air Dolomiti, Luxair, Croatia Airlines, and Eurowings, is the latest Rove Miles transfer partner.
Rove Miles is a fast growing platform of transferable points that is NOT tied to a credit card. You earn points by booking flights, by booking hotels (including a selection of hotels that earn full loyalty benefits called Loyalty Eligible Bookings), and online shopping.
They now have 13 frequent flyer and hotel programs:
-
Aeromexico Rewards
-
Accor Live Limitless (2:1)
-
Air France/KLM Flying Blue
-
Air India Maharaja Club
-
Cathay Pacific Asia Miles
-
Etihad Guest
-
Finnair Plus
-
Hainan Airlines Fortune Wings Club
-
Miles & More
-
Qatar Airways Privilege Club
-
Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus
-
Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles
-
Vietnam Airlines Lotusmiles
Miles & More is especially notable as no US transferable point transfers to it. The only way someone in North America could get Miles & More miles until now was via Marriott Bonvoy (3:1) or via a Miles & More cobranded credit card from Barclays.
You might want Miles & More miles if you want to fly Lufthansa First Class (and experience the amazing First Class Terminal). They don’t make First available to partners more than 15 days out, so if you need to actually plan in advance, you might care about this – although be advised that they do pass on Lufthansa’s rather large ($600+) surcharges between the US and Europe. They also have a Round the World award, though I have not looked into how crazy surcharges can get on that.
Miles & More did go “partially dynamic” in May of 2025, so there aren’t as many sweet spots as before, but it’s still an interesting program to suddenly have such easy access to.
