I love the Virgin Clubhouse.
I’ll get myself out of bed early just to have an hour or two there before a flight out of Terminal 4 at JFK (This terminal mostly serves Delta and Aeromexico).
I’ve written a few times about the Virgin Clubhouse.

You can enter the Clubhouse with an Amex Platinum / Business Platinum card or with a Capital One Venture X credit card.
But one flaw has been the hours – it is supposed to open at 5am, then close at 8:30am, then reopen at 2pm until 10:30pm.
Amex’s site says the same.
Certainly, there are a lot of flight times where you may want to go to the lounge between 8:30am and 2pm!!
The last time I was at JFK after 8:30am but before 2, I popped in and it was open! They said at the time it depends on the flights.
But today, the nice server told me that (while it’s not a guarantee!!) they are pretty much open every day from 8:30am – 1pm and 2pm -10:30pm.
So if you are at JFK in Terminal 4 and have one of those cards, give it a shot even between the posted hours. Just keep in mind it’s above Gate A5, so if you are at the far B gates, it’s a solid 15 minute walk over.

The Virgin lounge at LHR is far better than our US counterparts. Leave plenty of time because service is S. L. O. W. The salon is always fun, and at the far end you can walk out to an open patio to check out the tarmac. The bar is huge.

Do they restrict access to AMEX plat or Cap1 card holders later in the night when the Singapore flights leave? We will be there from 7-9pm.
Afraid you’ll be the Guinea pig there. I did once enter that late, but only once. Every other time I’ve entered has been for a morning or midday flight.
