I’ve written before about the CitiBusiness ThankYou card.
I only call it a secret because its only available in-branch and never advertised.
In early February, Doctor of Credit learned that the card was being overhauled and that starting April 22, 2023 the 3X rotating categories mentioned below will be replaced with 3x on eligible travel, office supply store purchases and professional services, year round.
I’ve also learned two great things:
- Starting April 22, 2023, the way you manage this account online will be integrated into the current systems. The CitiBusiness ThankYou card has long been left on a legacy online system, making card management a bit frustrating.
- You will be able to apply for the card online. This is according to a very knowledgable sounding phone representative I just spoke with. I hope it’s true but it makes sense given the overhaul and system integration.
The second part is the great part, since this will make it easy for people that don’t live near a Citi branch to get this card and earn additional ThankYou points. For those with a business, earning 3X for “Professional Services” is a pretty awesome bonus category.
