With the exception of the business card, United and Chase have increased the offer on all available United credit cards by 10,000 miles.
The new offers are:
-
In this article
United℠ Explorer Card: Earn 60,000 United MileagePlus® Miles after spending $3,000 on qualifying purchases in the first three months of opening an account, plus the Annual Fee waived for the first year.
-
United Quest℠ Card: Earn 70,000 United MileagePlus® Miles and 500 PQP after spending $4,000 on qualifying purchases in the first three months of opening an account.
-
United Club℠ Infinite Card: Earn 90,000 United MileagePlus® Miles after you spend $5,000 on qualifying purchases in the first three months of opening an account.
-
United Gateway℠ Card: Earn 30,000 United MileagePlus® Miles after spending $1,000 on qualifying purchases in the first three months of opening an account, plus 0% APR on purchases within the first twelve months.
While of course I always encourage putting your daily spend on transferable points credit cards over airline / hotel co-brands, there are reasons to have these cards if you fly United often, ranging from free checked bags on the Explorer to the ability to earn PQPs on the Quest and Club Infinite (and, of course, United Club access on the Infinite).
Cardholders also have expanded access to economy saver fares (and I’ve found these discounts to be frequent myself).
All of these offers are solidly top-end offers for these cards (relative to at least the last couple of years), so if you are looking for one of these cards, jump on it now while you are getting the best deals.
(Side note: If you aren’t already subscribed to Bonus Offer Alerts, if you were waiting on the bonus to go up on any of all of these cards, you could have subscribed and gotten an email alert about the change. Alerts are free and easy to setup.)
