Vacasa (a vacation rental platform) has long been a favorite of Wyndham Rewards members for outsized redemptions, although they devalued several times over the years, more recently capping the value of how much a property could be selling for in order to use points.
If the Average Cost is $250.00 or less, the redemption requires 15,000 points per bedroom per night; if the Average Cost is between $250.01 and $500.00, the redemption requires 30,000 points per bedroom per night. Rentals with an average cost of $500.01 or higher are not eligible for redemption.
This option is ending, though. As posted on the Wyndham website:
Redeeming options with Vacasa vacation rentals will end on November 30, 2025. Here’s what this means for members:
- The last day to make a new Vacasa reservation or modify an existing reservation will be Nov. 30, 2025.
- New or modified stays must have a checkout date of Jan. 31, 2026 or sooner.
- All existing reservations, including those with stay dates after Jan. 31, 2026, will continue to be honored.
- Bookings may be canceled at any time (regardless of when the booking was made or modified) so long as it’s in line with cancellation terms.
During this transition, we expect most Vacasa rentals to remain available, although some inventory may be limited due to recent Vacasa booking system upgrades. Should a rental be unavailable, we’ll help provide alternate options.

Not happy about this. I have lots of wyndham points and was waiting for the right vacasa rental. Not really much of a reason to keep renewing the wyndham card anymore is there? I don’t need 15k points for $95 a year. With the casinos it was a no brainer but everything is looking blech about keeping the card. The gas multiplier is good but only if you use wyndham points.
