TL;DR – annual fee rises to $695, up from $595; card gets a bunch of new statement credits and benefits starting August 23, 2026.
This coincides with fee increases from American Airlines on their Admiral’s Club membership, with the maximum membosip priced at $1,400, up from $850 now. That membership varies from $1,200 to $1,400 based on status level and includes unlimited lounge visits for the primary cardmember and up to two guests or immediate family members.

Notably, the credit card grants you that top level benefit, so it’s gotten proportionately cheaper to just get the credit card if you value Admiral’s Club access above all else.
Single memberships will cost $750 (no guests) so even then, the credit card is less expensive.

Bottom Line
As before, if you want access to Admiral’s Clubs, the Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Legend Mastercard® is a clear best choice. You were winning vs paying for a membership before and even more-so now. I don’t know why you wouldn’t go this route if you can, frankly!
More opportunities for Loyalty Points is an obvious card enhancement as is Omni Hotels status, though they have a small footprint and it may or may not impact you. Avis President’s Club status through August 2028 is also nice (and you can status match to other car rental companies!)
While I haven’t had a ton of time to sit with this, my first impression is that the extra $100 is easily absorbed by the additional benefits for most (even the extra $60 in Lyft credits offsets more than half); and it’s a no brainier (think of it as normal inflation) if you would otherwise pay for the Admiral’s Club.
Plus, flights with a hotel can sometimes be cheaper than a flight alone on AA Vacations, and now you get a large credit offset as well.

Clearly the card is still the best price for AC membership, and the new LP options are nice for those who get to those levels. $100 is better than 25% off but not a major selling point for most since drinks are complimentary with Main Extra and above and wifi is becoming free. Omni is a nice perk for a niche group. Lyft requires 3 rides, so again small group that rides enough and doesn’t have numerous other credits from cards.
However, the 2x $250 vacations credits are the narrowest benefit. LP earning on vacations flights is only better than direct flights for a small subset that are long distance and low cost due to how special fares earn.
Since I never pay cash for flights, that is irrelevant and limits my options to hotel + car, but the number of LPs booked on one night of AA hotel (or car) could easily exceed what an entire vacations package would earn. And then there’s the cancelation/change limitations of packages, so it would have to be a one off for me to use those credits.
