Chase reached out to let me know about yet another promotional offer (this is on top of the 2X (Preferred) – 3X (Reserve) on up to $1,000 at grocery stores through April and the $60-$120 in Peloton credits).
Earn 10X Ultimate Rewards with Chase Dining and Experiences
Whether you hold a Chase Sapphire Preferred or a Chase Sapphire Reserve, you’ll earn 10X Chase Ultimate Rewards points on up to $500 on any purchases made through Chase Dining, including ordering takeout or delivery through Tock, making a prepaid reservation, or joining a Virtual Dining Series experience. This is valid through June 30th, 2021.
While you can certainly dine-in if you so choose (and if allowed where you live), there are tons of pickup and delivery options as well to dine at home in style. These are done via Tock, which is among the best of the food delivery services. Much smaller, it’s also much more restaurant friendly with restaurants paying just a 3% service fee vs as much as 30% on the “majors.” So you needn’t feel guilty taking advantage of this.
As well, through April 30th, you’ll get the same value redeeming your points for these experiences. Previously, despite having a Reserve or Preferred, using points to pay for a meal or experience was only worth a cent. But right now, it will work like you are redeeming for travel, with Chase Sapphire Preferred points worth 1.25c each and Chase Sapphire Reserve points worth 1.5c each.
So in the below example to pick up a gourmet dinner at Babbo in NYC, you can either choose to pay cash and earn 10X points per dollar OR redeem your points at the 1.25cpp / 1.5cpp value.
Beyond ordering meals, you can participate in the virtual cooking experiences, like this one.
