New Hilton Amex Welcome Bonus Offers Include Free Night Rewards

If you ever ask me when the best time is to get a Hilton card from American Express, it’s always “any time there is a Free Night Reward attached to it.” That’s when I picked up my Hilton Business card last year and when my P2 picked up her Hilton Surpass card.

Well, these offers are back on both the no annual fee Hilton Honors American Express Card and the $150 annual fee Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card.

I love these offers so much because a single Free Night Reward can be used on Hilton Honors properties that cost up to 150,000 points (the current top price for a Standard Room Reward at any Hilton hotel / resort). If that rose, these certificates would still be good – because there is no cap on points. It simply has to have availability for a Standard Reward Night. (I’m trying to be extra clear here that if the room says “Premium Reward Night” it’s not eligible.

I’ve used these for such tremendous value that it boggles my mind – like a room that was over $1,200 a night at the Waldorf Astoria Pedregal in Cabo, the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, and the LXR in Santa Monica. If you can find availability at the Waldorf Astoria in the Maldives (room rates over $2,000 a night) you can even use it there. And there are no resort fees when you redeem Hilton reward nights.

The Free Night Rewards will expire one year from the date of issuance.
