Last year, Chase added a Peloton benefit to Chase Sapphire Preferred and Sapphire Reserve cards in the form of $60 in statement credits on a Preferred and $120 on a Reserve to use on Peloton digital memberships. (On a Reserve, with the 2 months free trial you already get, you would cover the rest of 2021 for a digital membership on a non-Peloton bike.)
Now they are adding the following Peloton benefits.
- Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmembers: Through March 2022, earn 10x total points on each Peloton Bike, Tread, and accessory purchase over $1,800, with a max earn of 50,000 points.
- Chase Sapphire Preferred cardmembers: Through March 2022, earn 5x total points on each Peloton Bike, Tread, and accessory purchase over $1,800, with a max earn of 25,000 points.
- Both Reserve and Preferred cardmembers: To take advantage of this offer, cardmembers can simply use an eligible Sapphire card at checkout. After ordering, you can get started right away with complimentary Digital Membership with Peloton. As previously announced, when your equipment arrives, Reserve cardmembers can also earn up to $120 and Preferred $60 in statement credits on a Peloton All-Access Membership through December 2021.
Of course this is on top of the elevated bonus offers now on both Sapphire cards, with the Sapphire Preferred sporting a best-ever 80,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points with $4,000 in spend in 3 months and a $50 credit towards groceries.
While I certainly wouldn’t advocate buying a Peloton for 10x points, if you were spending $2,500 anyway, 25,000 bonus Ultimate Rewards are worth $437.50, so that’s a solid rebate on the purchase.
Earlier, today, I also mentioned that Chase has extended the current Pay Yourself Back categories.
Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card LIMITED TIME OFFER: Earn 60,000 bonus points after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. Plus, get up to $300 in Chase Travel statement credits in the first year of account opening for any purchases made on Chase Travel. How to apply for this offer.
