For the last several months, the Southwest Performance Business Credit Card has had a two tiered offer for 70,000 Rapid Rewards points after $5,000 in spend within 3 months, but 30,000 more if you spent $25,000 in your first 6 months in total.

Southwest Performance Business Credit Card Bonus Offer
The new offer gives you more for that first $5,000 in spend, but eliminates the 2nd tier.
In other words, if you apply now you’ll get 80,000 Bonus Rapid Rewards points when you spend $5,000 in your first 3 months.
Personally, I think this is a better since you’ll get 80,000 points almost right off the bat. And with the 2021 Southwest Companion Pass qualification criteria reduced by 25,000 points this year to just 100,000 points (as long as you had an open Rapid Rewards account before Dec 31, 2020), you’d only need 15,000 more after spending the $5,000 (which would net 80,000 bonus points plus 5,000 points for spend) to qualify for Companion Pass.
Or, of course, you could add a second Southwest credit card to get over the top and have the Companion Pass for almost two years – the rest of this year and all of 2022.
