There is suddenly fantastic Saver availability on Singapore Airlines in Business Class on the longest flight in the world (Newark to Singapore).  Sven reported on this just minutes ago and not only have I verified tons of availability, I was even successful at getting a couple of tickets on hold to ticket (some very nice agents will hold for 4 days – if they say no, politely disconnect and call back) from SIN to EWR on one of the very busiest travel days of the year.

Crazily, here you can see 2 business saver seats, while the higher priced award is on waitlist?!

Remember, you can transfer points to Singapore Airlines from ALL FOUR transferable currencies: Chase, Citi, Amex, and SPG. It will run you 92,000 miles each, one way. It’s definitely not as luxurious as Singapore Suites, but Suites class would involve a connection in Frankfurt and, sometimes, direct is just better.

If you want to fly 18 hours direct to/from Singapore to NYC, book now! Or don’t, because it’s still a heck of a long time on a plane 😉

Are you booking this? Let me know here, on Twitter, or in the private MilesTalk Facebook group.

New to all of this? My new “introduction to miles and points” book, MilesTalk: Live Your Wildest Travel Dreams Using Miles and Points is available now.
