Hilton Honors did it again, devaluing the Honors program overnight at some of the most sought after and expensive properties.
It wasn’t long ago that properties topped out at 150,000 so this is a whopper of an increase in the last year. Since Hilton has no published award charts, these changes happen without notice, catching some who were in the middle of planning a trip off guard. We just saw the maximum Hilton Honors program price go from 150,000 to 200,000 in May!
I myself had just located Waldorf Astoria Pedregal availability (my review) and balked at 760,000 points for 5 nights (5th night free) and overnight it’s 1,000,000 points for that same 5 nights!
Hotel | Old Price | New Price |
---|---|---|
Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal | 190,000 | 250,000 |
Waldorf Maldives Ithaafushi | 190,000 | 250,000 |
Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam | 120,000 | 150,000 |
RiverView Ranch Retreat | 200,000 | 220,000 |
eriro, an SLH Hotel | 150,000 | 200,000 |
Conrad Maldives Rangali Island | 140,000 | 180,000 |
Conrad Tokyo | 100,000 | 130,000 |
Increases of 25-30% on top of the most recent devaluation.
I caught wind of this via Danny Deal Guru who saw a thread on reddit. Please let me know here or in the MilesTalk Facebook group what other large increases you see.
Note that (at least for now!) the credit card Free Reward Night certificates remain valid even at the 250,000 point properties. I suspect all hell will break loose among Hilton loyalists should that change as it does soften the blow to book a 5 night stay and add a few certs on top for a longer stay or even, in two player mode, save up ~4 nights and go for a long weekend somewhere fancy. In my opinion, that *really* helps both continued popularity of the Surpass and Aspire credit cards and the overall Honors program.
For some, there will be a bit of a silver lining in that Hilton does continue to add SLH properties at a decent clip, with over 450 now bookable via Honors. These were added in July / August 2025.

On balance, though, the devaluation hurts a lot more than the new property choices help – no doubt.
