40% Bonus Amex –> Avios
Through May 15th, 2022 you can transfer your American Express Membership Rewards points to British Airways or Aer Lingus Avios with a nice 40% bonus.
I used to say that Avios were primarily good for short haul redemptions (to avoid high surcharges on international awards) but that’s not longer all. As mentioned quite recently, you can freely transfer between BA Avios and Qatar Avios, meaning that you can book QSuites starting from 50,000 Membership Rewards points (US – Doha) or 61,000 form the US to connecting points like the Maldives. This is pricing on the Qatar Avios site which hopefully you linked when we first wrote about it – else you can link now!
25% Bonus Amex –> Marriott
Until May 31st, get a 25% bonus on American Express Membership Rewards to Marriott Bonvoy. This is one to avoid unless you have already found that perfect booking that makes extraordinary use of your Bonvoy points – or to top off for an award. Remember that phase one of the great Bonvoy devaluation just occurred.
25% Bonus Chase Ultimate Rewards –> Air France Flying Blue
Until May 15, 2022, transfer from Chase Ultimate Rewards to Air France Flying Blue with a 25% bonus. Their awards flex all over the place so I don’t really recommend a speculative transfer unless you know what you are doing.
That said, you can find one way business class flights to Europe starting from 53,000 miles and sometimes there are Flying Blue promo rewards with 25% or even 50% off select routes.
