Please see this article on changes to the Virgin Clubhouse JFK effective March 2023.
Update: Capital One has confirmed to MilesTalk that Capital One cardholders have NOT lost access to Virgin Clubhouses in the US. I will attempt to confirm if Amex Platinum cards retain or lose access.
If you have The Platinum Card® from American Express, The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, or a Capital One Venture X Credit Card, you’ve had access to my favorite domestic lounge – the Virgin Clubhouse.
I’ve gushed about it several times, like here and was thrilled when we started getting Virgin Clubhouse access via Plaza Premium. Then I even found about about “secret hours” just last month.
And just like that, it’s gone.
Via Ben at One Mile at a Time, we learn that I’m already banished from my next flight from JFK as access has already been terminated without notice.
February 28th will be the last day to use the Virgin Clubhouse in San Francisco (SFO) and Washington Dulles (IAD).
Apparently, Newark (EWR) which has no operating Virgin flights currently and Boston (BOS) will remain for the time being.
So – that sucks.
