This entire article is now out of date.
Remember just a few days ago I sort of freaked out because it was announced that Plaza Premium membership would no longer include the Virgin Clubhouses? This was to include all domestic Virgin Clubhouses at BOS, JFK, EWR, SFO, and IAD.
Well, it turns out that it’s not true after all!
A Capital One spokesperson reached out, asking that I correct the article stating that (bolding mine):
- While Plaza Premium is losing access to the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouses in the United States, Capital One cardholders retain access to all five domestic Virgin Atlantic Clubhouses through our Partner Lounge Network. We are excited to continue offering our customers access to these Clubhouses at BOS, JFK, EWR, SFO, and IAD.
- Access to our Partner Lounge Network is based on card product:
- Venture X cardholders receive unlimited complimentary access to 1,200+ Priority Pass Lounges worldwide, 100+ Plaza Premium Lounges worldwide, and Capital One Lounges.
- Venture and Spark Miles cardholders can use their two annual complimentary lounge visits to any of the 100+ Plaza Premium Lounges worldwide or Capital One Lounges, a unique benefit for a $95 annual fee travel rewards card.
Update: American Express told me if it’s not listed on this page, it’s not accessible by Cardmembers. Well, the Virgin Clubhouse is not on this page, so Capital One really wins this battle!
I don’t know about you, but I am psyched by this news!
