Mlife announced last month that they would extend status through Dec 31, 2021 and adjust the program year to align with a calendar year, igniting some speculation that when Caesars finally did their extension, they might also realign the calendar year, putting a possible wrench in the Status Match Merry Go Round.

Here’s the Caesars Status Extension Announcement:

Extending 2020 Tier Status. Your 2020 status and benefits will be extended through January 31, 2022, giving you more time to enjoy what you have earned.

Making Tier Status easier to earn for 2021.

Platinum: Now 4,000 Tier Credits (was 5,000 Tier Credits)
Diamond: Now 12,000 Tier Credits (was 15,000 Tier Credits)
Diamond Plus: Now 20,000 Tier Credits (was 25,000 Tier Credits)
Diamond Elite: Now 60,000 Tier Credits (was 75,000 Tier Credits)
Seven Stars®: Now 125,000 Tier Credits (was 150,000 Tier Credits)

Extending Reward Credits® expiration. Reward Credits will NOT expire for six months of inactivity until September 1, 2020, at the earliest.

 

No Effect on the Status Match Merry Go Round

While the primary on-ramp to the Merry Go Round, Wyndham, remains paused, this is great news. It means that Caesars’ calendar year will remain one month off from both Wyndham and Mlife, keeping the Merry Go Round alive for now….
