I recently ran into a MilesTalker at the Andaz Papagayo in Costa Rica and it gave me an idea….

Today, I’m kicking off a fun promotion designed to bring the already tight-knit MilesTalk community even closer together through “Find Dave, Make Money: The MilesTalk $1,000 Challenge”, giving MilesTalk Facebook group members – a community fused by a common love of traveling by way of utilizing rewards, miles and points – the opportunity to transform their rewards point savvy into 💰💰💰💰.

Participating Is Simple

• Make sure you are a member of the MilesTalk Facebook group. Anyone can join for free. 
• Be the first to spot Dave on the grounds of any hotel or resort* to win $1,000 in cash. 
• Capture the moment and share it on the MilesTalk Facebook group as well as Twitter or Instagram, tagging @milestalk, and in the MilesTalk Facebook group with the hashtags #FindDaveMakeMoney and #MilesTalk to claim your $1,000 cash prize!

(*Certain stays, such as conferences where I am speaking or attending, will not be eligible and will be listed in advance on this webpage along with clues for eligible upcoming stays and past stays.)

• Dave will post clues before his stays (maybe even during!) to increase the odds of being found and update the promotion page after each checkout.

Terms and Conditions

• This is a fun way to get promote community within our 33,000+ member Facebook group, taking an online community and showing its reach globally. This is not a sweepstakes or contest and rules may be changed at any time to adapt to how this actually goes!
• Must be 18 to be awarded prize money.
• As listed above, this is how you can be awarded up to $1,000:1) Make sure you are a member of the MilesTalk Facebook group. • The promotion will be capped at $5,000 (or 5 sightings) and the promotion will end if/when that occurs, else it is expected to run until August 1, 2024.
• If multiple people “Find Dave” at the same time, the $1,000 will be evenly divided.
• Once I am found at a hotel or resort, I will update this page. Only the first sighting will be awarded the bonus money. This page will be updated with past locations and any winners, so you may want to bookmark it!

• Regarding a “first sighting,” I have the sole authority to proclaim who found me first.
• If you are given more than $600, a 1099-MISC will be issued at the end of the year.
