If you live in a major city, you’ve surely heard of Soho House, the private club that is historically tough to join (although it got easier when the company went into expansion mode).

They have a “mini membership” called Soho Friends, though, and your Bilt Palladium Card (which is a World Legend Mastercard) gets you a free Soho Friends membership worth $175 a year.

This isn’t a full Soho House membership, but Soho Friends gets you benefits on Soho House bedrooms, restaurants, Soho Home, spas and more. World Legend Mastercard cardholders also get a $100 annual credit toward a Soho House bedroom stay.

Soho Friends Benefits

(These are verbatim from their site.)

“Bedrooms: From Mykonos to Miami, stay in Soho House bedrooms all around the world to unlock access to the Houses and enjoy 15% off, room upgrades on stays over three nights and late checkouts all year round (subject to availability).

Restaurants: Dine at any of our global public restaurants and receive 20% off the total bill for tables of up to four after 4pm on Sunday, and all day from Monday to Wednesday.

Soho Home: Preview new collections and bring the Houses home with 15% off Soho Home. Plus, enjoy a complimentary interior design consultation with the team.

Spa treatments: Enjoy reduced rates on treatments, including signature massages, facials and manicures at our Soho Health Club spas around the world.

Cowshed: Bring home all your Cowshed favourites and get 25% off full-price products.

Soho Skin: Found in Soho House bedrooms around the world, shop the skincare range from Soho Skin and enjoy 25% off.

Additional Mastercard Benefits

Soho Works: Eligible Mastercard small business credit cardholders receive two complimentary day passes annually to Soho Works, our network of workspaces and offices in London, New York and Los Angeles.

Bedrooms: Eligible Mastercard credit cardholders receive $100 annually towards a stay at one of the Soho Houses around the world.”

How to Get Your Free Soho Friends Membership With Bilt Palladium

First, you must have a Bilt Palladium credit card. (I believe you can also access this via the Citi® / AAdvantage® Globe™ Mastercard® and Executive cards, the only other two World Legend cards issued in the US as of this moment.)

Head to this informational page on the World Legend Soho Friends free membership.

Read it, then scroll to the bottom and click to join.

Now – here’s the scary part: You have to enter your credit card and press submit to see the $175 fee become $0 before it’s actually submitted. Surely they should have a “check my card” or “verify eligibility” button, but they don’t.

That’s why I first checked directly with Bilt on if they have this benefit (since it’s not referenced anywhere by Bilt or Cardless) and only once the right person at Bilt was able to definitely confirm the benefit, I signed up myself.

It worked as it should and only then did I write this article. Approval is not instant.

Bottom Line

If you have the Bilt Palladium, this is a benefit you should know about, even though it’s not marketed.

The card’s World Legend Mastercard benefits include a complimentary Soho Friends membership that normally costs $175 a year, plus $100 annually toward a Soho House bedroom stay.

It’s not a full Soho House membership, but if you’d use the hotel, restaurant or other Soho Friends benefits anyway, it’s a sweet deal.

Dave Grossman
I got "in the game" in 2003 and since then I've collected literally millions and millions of frequent flyer miles and hotel points. I've flown around the world in first class seats that would cost $29,000 using frequent flyer miles and a few bucks in tax. And I've stayed in some of the finest hotels - all for free! Several years ago, I realized many of my friends actually thought I was paying for these!! So I started sharing my tips. It's long been a passion, but when I hosted a session on Miles and Points at the South by Southwest festival, my love of the game intensified and this blog was born. Since then, I've written my book, MilesTalk: Live Your Wildest Travel Dreams Using Miles and Points (2nd Edition) - (author profile), give seminars on miles and points all over the world, and occasionally write for publications such as Frommer's and Forbes Advisor.

  1. The World Legend Mastercard site lists the benefit, so it should be available on Bilt, the 2 AA cards, and Strata Elite.

  2. I am willing to take the leap of faith that you are correct and followed the link, but it only seems to offer me a full priced, full benefit membership instead of the diluted Friends version that I need.
I tried Soho House support and they were no help at all. Very glad I’m not wasting my hard earned money there!

    Any ideas?

    • Sorry but I’m not seeing what you aren’t seeing. I clicked the link above to the Mastercard benefits page and it still states exactly what I do – that you enter your Bilt card number and on the very final screen the price will change to $0, just like when I signed up.

What is it that you aren’t seeing?
