If you are flying and collect British Airways Avios points, BA has an offer on from now until the end of 2020 for double Avios.

Promo: Double British Airways Avios on All BA Flights (Including Codeshares and Holidays)

The offer is pretty extensive. For flights beginning on July 30th, It includes all domestic flights in the UK, and within southern Africa or any flight included as part of a British Airways holiday and any flight with a British Airways prefix on a transatlantic flight, marketed by British Airways (BA), operated by British Airways (BA), American Airlines (AA), Iberia (IB) or Finnair (AY) between Europe and North America.

If you are in a cash crunch, you should avoid travel rewards credit cards until you are caught up. Here are our favorite credit cards for Intro 0% APR offers and for balance transfer offers

The flight component of any holiday package will also get double Avios – but only if your BA Avios account is domiciled in the US or UK.

You’ll have to register before you fly and also at the latest by August 31st, 2020. The flights must occur by December 31, 2020.

You are also limited to your first 10 eligible flights – determined by the order you fly, not the order you book.

As always, you should register now lest you forget later. I have zero plans to fly BA this year, but if things change in a few months, I’m likely to have forgotten all about this deal by then.

Also, it’s always a good idea to read the fine print.

New to all of this? My “introduction to miles and points” book, MilesTalk: Live Your Wildest Travel Dreams Using Miles and Points is available on Amazon and at major booksellers.

I got "in the game" in 2003 and since then I've collected literally millions and millions of frequent flyer miles and hotel points. I've flown around the world in first class seats that would cost $29,000 using frequent flyer miles and a few bucks in tax. And I've stayed in some of the finest hotels - all for free! A few years ago I realized many of my friends actually thought I was paying for these!! So I started sharing my tips. It's long been a passion, but when I hosted a session on Miles and Points at this year's South by Southwest festival, my love of the game intensified and this blog was born.
