The bonus offer on the Southwest® Rapid Rewards® Premier Business Credit Card has not budged in quite a while.

Today, they unveiled a new offer that will live through August 28th, 2023.

Earn up to 120,000 Rapid Rewards® points: 60,000 points after $3,000 spend in the first three months from account opening and 60,000 points after spending $15,000 in the first nine months. Offer ends 8/28/23.

Previously, the card simply had the first half of that offer. While it’s still likely easier for most people to combine just the first tier of this offer with another Southwest card (The Southwest® Rapid Rewards® Performance Business Credit Card for 80,000 bonus points with $5,000 in spend in 3 months) or any of the personal Southwest credit cards, it does allow an easy one card path to the Southwest Companion Pass which would be valid through December 31, 2024.

If you spent the full $15,000 – even on regular spend for 1 point per dollar, you would have 135,000 Companion Pass points. That’s actually 10,000 more than you technically need, since you earn Companion Pass at 135,000 points in a year but simply holding any Southwest credit card confers 10,000 Companion Pass points annually. So you’d actually be at 145,000 Companion Pass qualifying points.

It’s nice to see Chase mixing things up on one of the Southwest business credit cards and giving more paths towards Companion Pass.
