This has now been extended to September 30th. HT to Bernard Y. in the MilesTalk Facebook group.

For the months of August and September only, Caesars is offering to match your status to Diamond – but with a few twists.

  • The match is available at the three Caesars properties in Atlantic City only.
  • Existing members, which are normally excluded unless you get lucky at the Caesars Rewards desk, are eligible.
  • You can only match from two online casinos: DraftKings or BetMGM

You’ll have to show your phone with the live status – no printed cards, screenshots, etc.

Qualifying status levels are:

DraftKings        BetMGM

Gold                    Gold

Diamond            Platinum

Onyx                   Noir

Note they do state in the fine print you won’t get the $100 Celebration dinner unless you earn 100 tier credits. At least that is clear this time.

This is definitely most ideal for someone who is MGM Gold (maybe still via Hyatt Explorist) currently as you’ll be automatically matched to your MGM casino status.

The Diamond status will be valid until Jan 31, 2024.

Note that you can also match into DraftKings from a number of other statuses, like BetRivers 10 or Elite, MyChoice, Preferred or higher, Live! Black and more, so you may be able to match your way to a match.

The question is – since the status will last only into January 2024, is it worth it? Especially with the Status Match Merry Go Round™ in disarray right now.

Dave Grossman
I got "in the game" in 2003 and since then I've collected literally millions and millions of frequent flyer miles and hotel points. I've flown around the world in first class seats that would cost $29,000 using frequent flyer miles and a few bucks in tax. And I've stayed in some of the finest hotels - all for free! Several years ago, I realized many of my friends actually thought I was paying for these!! So I started sharing my tips. It's long been a passion, but when I hosted a session on Miles and Points at the South by Southwest festival, my love of the game intensified and this blog was born. Since then, I've written my book, MilesTalk: Live Your Wildest Travel Dreams Using Miles and Points (2nd Edition) - (author profile), give seminars on miles and points all over the world, and occasionally write for publications such as Frommer's and Forbes Advisor.
