Just before COVID-19 hit the world (well, technically it was already hitting us, but those of us in North America didn’t realize it yet), I spoke at what would become the very last New York Times Travel Show.
Jamie Larounis co-hosted the session and we had a great time. We drew a wonderful crowd and I met a number of you at my book signing after.
The show is no longer called the New York Times Travel Show, but the same organizers have taken the helm under a new name, the New York International Travel Show and, if you look through the website, you’ll find it almost indistinguishable from the New York Times-sponsored version.
There will be a full exhibit hall with all of the various countries represented as before, and lots of consumer oriented seminars.
The organizers asked me back this year, and I’ll be presenting another beginner-level session on Miles and Points.
If you are fairly new to miles and points – or if you just want a refresher on the basics – stop on by.
I’ll be presenting on both Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday: 3pm – 3:50pm
Sunday: 10am – 10:50am
Here’s the description as presented in the show guide:
More than anything, I love meeting fellow miles and points enthusiasts, so if you are at the show and catch one of my presentations, or just see me walking around, please do say hello 🙂
Tickets are free if you are in the travel trade, $20 for either day if you’re not.
Looks like Groupon has a small discount on the tickets as well.
Let me know if I’ll see you there!
