American Express is adding a ZO by Tishman Speyer benefit to the U.S. Business Platinum Card and the Corporate Platinum Card, starting Thursday, October 22. Don’t worry, there’s no annual fee increase.

ZO is Tishman Speyer’s amenity network: ZO Clubhouses, which are hospitality spaces built for working and recharging, and Studio, their network of coworking, meeting and event spaces. This is the first time Tishman Speyer has opened ZO to anyone beyond its own building tenants.

Eligible Card Members get a complimentary American Express ZO Membership covering 20+ Clubhouse and Studio spaces across six cities: New York, Boston, Washington DC, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

What You Get

  • Unlimited access to ZO Clubhouse spaces, plus 4 guest day passes at Clubhouses per week. Studios would be $50 a pop without this benefit (or an office at a Tishman Speyer building).
  • 4 complimentary day passes per month to U.S. Studio locations.
  • Up to $500 in statement credits per eligible Card Account each calendar year toward event space bookings at ZO or Studio locations, and/or the purchase of a Dining Club membership, when you use an eligible American Express Card.
  • A ZO site and app experience built for Card Members, with all participating spaces and links to each one.

As always, Terms Apply.

How to Use It

Enrollment isn’t required. You activate your ZO Membership online or through the ZO app before your visit. Studio visits have to be reserved in advance through the app or online. Clubhouse access doesn’t need a reservation..

The Cards

The benefit is on the Business Platinum Card from American Express and the Corporate Platinum Card.

My Take

Remember back when American Express had a deal with WeWork?

It lasted all of 6 months.

I think this is great. Even though I have private offices in a WeWork, WeWork has cut *way* back on the credits members get to work elsewhere. So even if you work in a co-working space, if they don’t give you sufficient credits to travel to other locations, this is huge.

And if you work from home, this is a fantastic reason to get out of the house and network or just work somewhere else for a change. The only real catch is the limited footprint.

But the craziest thing here? It’s UNLIMITED VISITS. As long as you don’t need a corporate address / mail, etc, you could basically work full time here.

Seriously – that’s insane and how does that last?? I guess Zo really wants to get their name out there.

Is a ZO Clubhouse near you, and would you actually use it or the $500 event credit?

Dave Grossman
I got "in the game" in 2003 and since then I've collected literally millions and millions of frequent flyer miles and hotel points. I've flown around the world in first class seats that would cost $29,000 using frequent flyer miles and a few bucks in tax. And I've stayed in some of the finest hotels - all for free! Several years ago, I realized many of my friends actually thought I was paying for these!! So I started sharing my tips. It's long been a passion, but when I hosted a session on Miles and Points at the South by Southwest festival, my love of the game intensified and this blog was born. Since then, I've written my book, MilesTalk: Live Your Wildest Travel Dreams Using Miles and Points (2nd Edition) - (author profile), give seminars on miles and points all over the world, and occasionally write for publications such as Frommer's and Forbes Advisor.
