a wallet with money and credit cards

From now until September 22nd, you’ll get 1,300 Avios for every 1,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points you transfer.

British Airways Avios are traditionally best used on short haul flights on oneworld carriers like American, (because of high rates and surcharges on long haul premium cabin awards) – however, now that you can use these to book Qatar QSuites via linking your BA and Qatar accounts, you may well find this to be quite worth while if you locate QSuite availability on dates that work for you or know you can be flexible in the future.

Iberia has an East Coast to Madrid (MAD) Sweet Spot) and Aer Lingus has a sweet spot from the Eastern US to DUB.

Let me know below in the comments, on Twitter, or in the private MilesTalk Facebook group. And don’t forget to follow me on Instagram for all sorts of tips on miles, points, credit cards, and travel.

I got "in the game" in 2003 and since then I've collected literally millions and millions of frequent flyer miles and hotel points. I've flown around the world in first class seats that would cost $29,000 using frequent flyer miles and a few bucks in tax. And I've stayed in some of the finest hotels - all for free! Several years ago, I realized many of my friends actually thought I was paying for these!! So I started sharing my tips. It's long been a passion, but when I hosted a session on Miles and Points at the South by Southwest festival, my love of the game intensified and this blog was born. Since then, I've written my book, MilesTalk: Live Your Wildest Travel Dreams Using Miles and Points (2nd Edition) - (author profile), give seminars on miles and points all over the world, and occasionally write for publications such as Frommer's and Forbes Advisor.

  1. I am highly considering taking advantage of this deal. I know people always say, don’t transfer points unless you have a need for them right way but considering that soon there will be 5 airlines that use Avios I may dump all my Chase points (75k) into Avios and take the 30% bonus now. If I were to do the norm and wait until I need to book something there may not be a transfer bonus at that time plus I don’t stay at Hyatt or fly on United or Southwest. What else would I use the points for, why should I not do it! I have several hundred thousand Amex and Citi points and they transfer to most of the same partners.
