Right now, Rakuten is offering a 100X multiplier on your first purchase with Incogni.

When I posted this on the MilesTalk Facebook group earlier, I didn’t even say what Incogni does, as it’s *almost* besides the point, but I have since been advised that it’s actually a really useful tool for scrubbing your information from the web to get less spam.

As most of us know, Rakuten is a cash back portal, but you can elect to earn your cash back as American Express Membership Rewards points (which I value at around 1.6 cents each) or as Bilt Points (which I value at around 1.8 cents each).

Note that after the next deposit from Rakuten to Bilt Points in May, you’ll need Bilt status to get a 1:1 ratio.

Today, you can get 100X points with Incogni. The description of the company is: Incogni protects digital privacy by automatically removing personal information from data-broker databases. The service was launched in 2022 by Surfshark, a leading cybersecurity company based in Lithuania. Incogni empowers users to regain control of their online data footprint through legal, automated opt-out requests to hundreds of data brokers worldwide.

Cash Back is only available for new users and on the first payment of a subscription plan.

The family plan (Family Unlimited) would be $275.88 if you avoided using any coupons (which would be the point in this case, I’d think!). That would earn 27,588 points ($275.88 cash back awarded as Amex or Bilt points per your settings.

Noteworthy is that if you don’t yet have a Rakuten account, you’d get an additional 5,000 points ($50) for signing up by our referral and then making the purchase – 32,588 points total in that case.

Note that you can easily see deals that have super large multipliers using the tool by our friends at Savewise.

Dave Grossman
I got "in the game" in 2003 and since then I've collected literally millions and millions of frequent flyer miles and hotel points. I've flown around the world in first class seats that would cost $29,000 using frequent flyer miles and a few bucks in tax. And I've stayed in some of the finest hotels - all for free! Several years ago, I realized many of my friends actually thought I was paying for these!! So I started sharing my tips. It's long been a passion, but when I hosted a session on Miles and Points at the South by Southwest festival, my love of the game intensified and this blog was born. Since then, I've written my book, MilesTalk: Live Your Wildest Travel Dreams Using Miles and Points (2nd Edition) - (author profile), give seminars on miles and points all over the world, and occasionally write for publications such as Frommer's and Forbes Advisor.
