milestalk facebook group

I can’t help but shout from the rooftops about a pretty big milestone in the MilesTalk Facebook group. That’s the group you see referenced right there ⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️ in every article I write.

It’s a very active group and we pride ourselves on being one of the friendliest Facebook groups around. If anyone gets too snarky, they get a warning and then the boot. We want the group to be a “safe space” for people of all skill levels to be able to ask questions.

Well, I guess it’s working because 20,000 members sure does sound like a big number to me!

Even better, I’ve noticed we roughly double in size every 10 months or so, and so I fully expect 50,000 to not be more than 18 months away.

We have an amazing team of moderators who help MilesTalkers out around the clock, often from somewhere up in the sky in between sips of Krug on one airline or another.

And I absolutely love our group.

I love interacting with each and every one of you. I love the feeling I get when someone posts a trip report on a trip they booked with help from the group. It’s awesome.

Basically, I just want to say: If you are a Facebook group member, thank you for bring a part of it. And if you aren’t yet, what are you waiting for? Come chat some miles and points!

New to all of this? My “introduction to miles and points” book, MilesTalk: Live Your Wildest Travel Dreams Using Miles and Points is available on Amazon and at major booksellers.

I got "in the game" in 2003 and since then I've collected literally millions and millions of frequent flyer miles and hotel points. I've flown around the world in first class seats that would cost $29,000 using frequent flyer miles and a few bucks in tax. And I've stayed in some of the finest hotels - all for free! A few years ago I realized many of my friends actually thought I was paying for these!! So I started sharing my tips. It's long been a passion, but when I hosted a session on Miles and Points at the South by Southwest festival, my love of the game intensified and this blog was born.
