Heads up that Amex has relaunched the fairly common transfer bonus from Membership Rewards to Hilton Honors with a 30% bonus.
It’s already 1:2 as standard, so now with this bonus you get 2,600 points for 1,000 Amex.
As I mentioned, this is a fairly common transfer bonus and if you need Hilton points right now, I’d strongly suggest checking out the Hilton credit card offers which include a free night at any Hilton worldwide.
Still, there are certainly times that Amex to Hilton can pay off, especially if you are booking a 5 night stay (since the 5th night is free on awards) and since you won’t pay resort fees on awards.
Bottom line is that I wouldn’t transfer completely speculatively here – and I’ll also note we have seen a 40% bonus before – but if you are looking to book Hilton and need to top your balance off, 30% is surely a nice bump.
