After a fair bit of confusion on January 1st, when members were suddenly no longer able to choose Choice Benefits against a looming January 14th deadline, the website is now online again and taking your choice.
Above are the selections for 75 nights (Platinum Premier Elite) and I’m inclined to take the one Free Night award which is valid until December 2020 2019 and for a night up to 40,000 points.
The Suite Nights also intrigue me, though I’m still trying to use the ones I already have. I’ve been trying without success to add them to a reservation I have in March. I can also choose a new batch when I re-qualify for Platinum (although depending on where I’m at on nights, I may prefer the 5 nights towards Platinum Premier).
Note that if you don’t make a selection now by February 7th, they will auto-select the Suite Night Awards.

When I click on the free night, it clearly states valid through Dec 31 2019. Footnote meanwhile says 2020…
Turns out, they have changed things and the Free Night Award DOES expire Dec 2019.
Boy oh boy – because of course it does.
