NYC<-->Paris Business Class $1,200 RT

French All-Business-Class airline La Compagnie is having an early Black Friday promotion.

For $1,200 (actually, it prices out even lower than that, you can fly round trip from NYC to Paris or Paris to NYC. Booking must be done by Nov 20th.

Availability isn’t great, but I did find some round trips that priced out successfully.  Here is an example:

Of course, at $1,200 round trip, you know there is a catch.

And that catch is that the seats are old. Configured 2×2 with angled lie flat seats, it’s not the peak of luxury.

Add to that the fact that you won’t earn any frequent flyer miles on any alliance and that they don’t interline (meaning if they have a delay of cancellation they will not rebook you on a legacy carrier), and you may get a better idea how they can offer this at this price.

That said, $1,200 is less than you’ll sometimes find coach seats for sale at (sales excluded, of course) and all considered, $1,200 for an (almost) lie flat seat on an all-business class plane isn’t so bad.

They run these kinds of sales once or twice a year.

Note: In April 2019, La Compagnie will get 2 brand new Airbus A321neo’s. We haven’t seen the interior yet, but it may be a nice upgrade….
