I’ve gotten a dozen messages about the below email that Roomi sent out today about RoomiPay. I know – it doesn’t look great.
The gist is that RoomiPay will be available to those who register for Roomi and verify their identity through the platform (a free process). Users can pay via credit card at a 2% fee and payouts to the landlord will be through ACH. This follows last month’s change to ACH payments.
Now, most of you know that MilesTalk has exclusively partnered with RoomiPay to offer extra free 0% payment slots to members of the MilesTalk Facebook group. Usually 50 a month.
I’ve been in contact with Roomi throughout the day today, but as of this time I do not have a clear answer on if we will have the 0% slots this month or perhaps some other variant. They have said that they want to continue the partnership with MilesTalk this month so I’m waiting for clarification fo what that means, exactly.
