Hyatt Atlantic City Unbound Ocean AC

I’ve been waiting to see what category the new Ocean AC Resort, formerly REVEL, on the Atlantic City boardwalk would price at, given that it’s under the Hyatt Unbound brand. There hasn’t been a chain / points option in Atlantic City in many moons.

As of last night, it’s showing on the Hyatt website and it’s priced at 12,000 points a night.

This is fantastic because a) you can use points, b) there’s no 2-night stay like REVEL used to have, and c) it’s only 12,000 points a night meaning that on Saturday nights in summer, you are going to be getting 3 or 4 cents per Hyatt point.

Better yet, as of now, it does not appear that Hyatt is charging resort fees. But even if it did, those are waived on award stays with Hyatt.

The REVEL was a fantastic hotel with ocean views and right at the end of the boardwalk. My assumption is that the new Ocean AC will be just as gorgeous. I’ll know for sure later this summer….

I must note that as of this second, Hyatt.com isn’t letting you book the award nights, just cash. But I think that is just because it’s so freshly loaded into the system Let me know in the comments if you have luck booking with points. Most important to me, at this second, is that we know the rate in points and it’s very reasonable, especially since you can transfer points to Hyatt from any Ultimate Rewards earning credit card (that allows point transfers) at a 1:1 ratio.

Speaking of Atlantic City, I just booked my free night at the new Hard Rock Atlantic City as well. If you missed that deal, you didn’t miss it – it’s still live. Read more on that Hard Rock Status Match / Free Nights offer here.
