roundup

Sometimes, a bunch of news or deals hits faster than I can push the news out…. so I make it up with a Round Up so you don’t miss anything I don’t think you should miss!  Let’s go…

Earn and Redeem Marriott Bonvoy Points on Ritz Carlton Cruises

You can now earn and spend your Bonvoy points on Ritz Carlton Cruises. Good news for earning if you pay cash for cruises; less great if you want to spend your points.

  • Earn 5 points per $1 spend on your cruise fare, as well as on the hotel package rate for participating Marriott hotels booked through The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection
  • Redeem an initial 180,000 points toward a $1,000 savings on your cruise fare, and increments of 90,000 points toward a $500 savings thereafter
  • Receive one Elite Night Credit per night toward achieving higher Elite status
  • Accelerate earning with your Marriott Bonvoy Credit Card

On the redemption side, this works out to less than the 0.6 cent value I currently have for Bonvoy points and therefore not much of a deal (it’s a pure rebate on spend, much like the way all of Bonvoy is headed).
