American, Alaska, Southwest & United are all offering bonuses of up to 5,000 miles when you hit various spend thresholds during the holiday season. This means October 29th to November 18th this time.

Despite the same company (Cartera) operating all the portals, each decides what bonus offers they want.

I was just starting to type out all of the offers when I saw Doctor of Credit posted the same in fine detail. I’m going to suggest that you refer to their article here for all of the details.

Note that you should always use cashbackmonitor.com to be sure you know all of your options. 10x on one site may well beat 1x on another even with a 5,000 mile bonus, depending on how much you spend.

Also keep in mind Chase’s Q4 Freedom bonuses. Department stores, wholesale clubs, and Chase Pay. Certain stores may accept Chase Pay, allowing a nice double dip.

Do you take advantage of these offers? Let me know here, on Twitter, or in the private MilesTalk Facebook group.

New to all of this? My new “introduction to miles and points” book, MilesTalk: Live Your Wildest Travel Dreams Using Miles and Points is available now.
